New Girl Scout Badge Program starting Fall 2026

Girl Scout Coding
Badge Day

The New Program

Pink Space Theory is excited to offer GIRL SCOUT CODING BADGE DAY, a fun, hands-on experience where Junior troops can complete the requirements for three coding badges in one engaging half-day session.

Through hands-on activities, girls will explore how coding is used to solve problems and make a difference. They will design and build their own simple game while learning how sequences, algorithms, and conditionals work together.

Along the way, they’ll also discover the contributions of women in computer science and begin to see how they can shape the future through technology.

Happy Clients

From the beginning I was impressed with the way the Solar Program caught my student's attention. The first session, one about leadership and focus, was something I initially thought wouldn't catch the girls' attention. This would not be the first thing I was wrong about. The girls engaged with the topic instantly, and from there went on to see the entirety of the program as a challenge that they could accomplish. One of my toughest cases, a student named Jordan, spent the entire program convinced she would not have a boat and that the entire process was hopeless. To her surprise, she was able to create a boat that not only floated, but worked. Although she did not win, her response wasn't one of defeat. Upon talking to her later, her thoughts were more focused on what she would do next time, instead of bemoaning her loss. This ability to turn defeat into a growth mindset is something powerful, and something that the Solar Design Program did very well.

I loved the interaction between new people, and I really enjoyed thinking about different people's ideas for the same project. It was really interesting hearing about how different people would execute the same thing differently. Over all I had a great time!

Thank you for the opportunity to share the activity with the families. They r[e]ally enjoyed completing the activity. The families requested more similar activities to complete at home visits.
