A Day in the Life…With Inventions by Women

This Women’s History Month, let’s each take a minute to reflect on the simple luxuries of daily life. We tend to take them for granted because the seem to have just always been there. But many things we rely on everyday were invented by women and changed the way we live. The following inventions my never have existed without the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit of women who came before us. So, the next time you use one of these inventions, give a little nod to its female founder!

Mathematical modeling for GPS …..  invented by Dr. Gladys West in 1973

Frequency hopping, which led to Wi-Fi ….  invented by actress Hedy Lamarr in 1941

And “Voice Over Internet Protocol”, the tech behind FaceTime & Zoom … invented by Marian Croak in 1995
