Girl SCOUT STEM Programs
Where Scouts Build
Confidence Through
STEAM Learning
Hands-on experiences designed to help scouts think, create, and lead. Troop-friendly programs that build STEM skills and confidence to prepare scouts for future careers and pathways.
Why It Matters
Ability is never the question.
Confidence is.
Girls show strong ability in math and science, yet many step away from STEM as they grow older — often due to confidence gaps and lack of belonging rather than ability.
Hands-on experiences and visible role models help girls see what is possible and reshape how they view themselves in STEM.

More than a Badge
Space to Try, Solve, and Grow
Girls do not need perfection for success in STEM. They need space to try, solve, and grow.
Through guided, hands-on experiences, Scouts build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and start to see themselves in STEM pathways. and visible role models help girls see what is possible and reshape how they view themselves in STEM.
“Every badge earned is a step toward a girl seeing herself as a builder, a coder, a creator — and a future leader in STEM.”
Happy Clients
From the beginning I was impressed with the way the Solar Program caught my student's attention. The first session, one about leadership and focus, was something I initially thought wouldn't catch the girls' attention. This would not be the first thing I was wrong about. The girls engaged with the topic instantly, and from there went on to see the entirety of the program as a challenge that they could accomplish. One of my toughest cases, a student named Jordan, spent the entire program convinced she would not have a boat and that the entire process was hopeless. To her surprise, she was able to create a boat that not only floated, but worked. Although she did not win, her response wasn't one of defeat. Upon talking to her later, her thoughts were more focused on what she would do next time, instead of bemoaning her loss. This ability to turn defeat into a growth mindset is something powerful, and something that the Solar Design Program did very well.

I loved the interaction between new people, and I really enjoyed thinking about different people's ideas for the same project. It was really interesting hearing about how different people would execute the same thing differently. Over all I had a great time!
